During five weeks of laboratory work (Jan/Feb 2009) a correlation of sediment sequences for each lake was done in order to obtain a continuous record connected to the present. In the next step, the composite sediment profiles of total length 3861 cm were continuously subsampled with 1 cm resolution. Each sample was divided into 5 subsamples for geochemical investigations, stable isotopes, pollen, diatoms and cladocera analyses. Thus it can be guaranteed, that all analyses will be done on identical samples for exactly the same sample depths, i.e. for the same time interval.
